Who is LLH

Leen Louai Hazeem — character before language.

A visual identity practice for drama, cinema and theatre: character design, costume styling and image consulting built on ten years of production work.

I am Leen Louai Hazeem, a visual artist specialising in character design and image consulting, with ten years of work across drama, cinema, theatre and advertising.

My practice is built on translating written text into a living visual identity — a body of work that earned the Best Costume Design award for the 2016 season from Syrian television for the series Zawal.

I studied fashion design and image consulting, graduated from ESMOD, hold a diploma from the European University in Damascus, and worked with the Adham Ismail Institute of Fine Arts.

I have lived and worked between Riyadh and Dammam, and taught fashion design courses in Saudi Arabia, and my work has appeared in some of the most prominent regional and international productions of the past decade.

Expertise

  • Character designer

Building complete visual identities for dramatic roles: reading the script and the characters, then translating the psychological interior into an exterior the audience trusts.

  • Costume stylist

Working across drama, cinema and advertising: selecting and assembling looks, dressing the frame and supervising fittings so nothing on camera is accidental.

  • Image consultant

Private appearance direction: a considered, individual image built on proportion, colour and cultural context rather than trend.

Press

  • A step of high taste and professionalism in film and series costume design.

Their vision widens your perception, their discipline pushes you past your limits, and their charisma turns every project into a living experience. Through them I learned that creativity is not a craft but a philosophy of life.
